MATCH REPORT
A sensational first half performance set the tone for this match against decent opposition in Blidworth. Our best half of football without question this season, superb passing football which was more pleasing than the result itself. An even start it was obvious the first goal would be crucial which came from Joshs free kick.We took total control from then on and added 2 more before the break,a cool finish from Joe and David opening his account for the season from close range. The 2nd half became slightly stretched as we looked for more and Blidworth sought a way back into the match so the 2nd period slightly lacked the fluency of the first half.A brilliantly worked 4th,Jordan sweeping wide to Jack who released Will for a tidy strikers goal completing the scoring. This is the standard we need to maintain and as i said at full time the hardest part is reaching that level on a weekly basis, thats the challenge you face.Hard to single players out for praise as every squad member gave an assured performance. Our possession was good and worthwhile as we always looked to create but played with patience in our approach play as we kept the ball until openings appeared, especially in the first half. Our passing was purposeful and accurate and our back four had a determination to keep a clean sheet but combine that with good passing themselves and never be rash in defending our penalty area, along with both Jacob and David in goal. The positives from today were;our attitude which was spot on,our control and passing which was sensible and the angles of a pass which was always good, the movement of players to create those angles as we listened to the need to avoid straight balls into players and rather play balls diagonally in front of them which gave us good progress in an attacking sense, our work rate which was high, our forwards play both with their back to goal and in behind, our midfields total control of the game and defensively solid but able to play good possession after winning the ball back, negatives?I think only one i can think of is our over eagerness in the 2nd half to thrust forward which saw possession change hands very often and invited Blidworth into the match,we could have retained possession slightly better and ground our opponents down and possibly could have added to our scoring although their keeper did keep the score respectable. We also need to make sure we dont get carried away, the performance was very good but must be maintained.

MATCH REPORT
This weekend’s game was due to be off because of all the pitches being frozen however as a favour to AC Bridgeford we decided to play our home game in Nottingham on a 3G pitch to enable us to get this fixture completed
we have been very fortunate as we are all used to the 3G pitches as we train on them every week
we started the game very confident and although it was very cold we did not let that bother us, it did not take us long before we got ourselves in front with a neat goal from cal.
in the first half we dominated the game and did not allow them any time on the ball and becase of that we passed the ball beautifully between us and at times making them run around like headless chickens.
subs was made at half time and we still did not give them time on the ball however they made play a little more difficult for us as we like to play our football on the ground and all AC did when they got the ball is play a big shot up field and hope to catch us out which to be fair they did on 2 occasions
as we always say we play better against better sides but we really need to finish these teams off earlier in the game
well done boys
