THE TEAM
Connor (Chewitt) began playing his football in the Kickstart as an 8 year old playing Under 10 football for Huthwaite Colts as a goalkeeper before moving to 11 a side football on a Sunday with FC Hutwaite in the Rowsley and district youth league playing at right back. Following last season playing additionally outfield for Welbeck Welfare on a Saturday Chewitt joins Asfield Rangers in his preferred goalkeeping position & what he lacks in height he makes up for in good positioning & brave shot stopping.
Drew started playing football for huthwaite colts u11 then u12s for fc huthwaite and then this current season for ashfield rangers. drew is used to playing in a right back role at first he only played part of a game but of late he has found himself holding the possition permenantly drew is a good battler who is improving his game week after week.for the season 2008/09 drew was joint winner of the most improved player award.
Zvi( zee ) joined the team just before the start of the 2007/08 season he is a fit player who gets on well with his team mates. zee played in a few possisions to start with until we found a possision where he was better suited and that is in the centre of defence. at the end of the 2007/08 season zee won the coaches player of the year award for his consistancy and shear hard work.
Brandon joined ashfield rangers towards the end of last season and this is the first season he will be eligable to play for us. brandon has fitted in well with all his team mates and gets on well with everyone.brandon plays football on a sunday for fc huthwaite and he will be played as a left back for ashfield rangers.
Tony started playing football for huthwaite colts u10 in the kick start league playing 7 a side football from there he moved up to 11 a side the year after for the u11 yellow side he played as a striker. the year after for the season 2007/08 he moved into a midfield possision for fc huthwaite. tony has now moved on to ashfield rangers where he playes in a central defence role. he is liked well with his fellow team mates. Tony is the team captain and leads by example he defends very well.for the season 2008/09 tony won player of the year, players player of the year, and parents player of the year.
Ashfield rangers yfc are looking for a new player to compliment our side if any of the existing players know of anyone of quality who would like to join us then please bring them along to training so both stuart and i can look at him.
(macca) started playing his football for huthwaite colts at the age of 10 in the u11 side he then moved up to fc huthwaite for the season 2007/08 and he is now with ashfield rangers u14s. Macca is left footed and plays along the left side . Macca is a strong lad that likes to get stuck in and he is improving his game each week.for the season 2008/09 macca won most improved player along with drew.

Cameron (cambo) is the assistant managers son and like lawson he too has a lot to prove. cam started playing football for huthwaite colts u11s and then to fc huthwaite u12s. for this season cambo plays for ashfield rangers u13s he plays as a striker along side conan. cameron is a very good reader of the game and has a good eye for the ball he can pass a ball at the right time once he has got hold of it. cameron is improving his game all the time and he is one of the favourites amongst his team mates.
Jack started playing his football for skegby colts u11s and then for this season 2008/09 he joined fc interski. jack has recently transfered from interski to join ashfield rangers yfc. he is now our youngest player as he has transfered from an age group below us he will be able to cope with the age difference as he is a tall strong lad. he plays at centre half and is very confident on the ball.
Conan started playing his football for market warsop mini soccer kick start league he stayed at market warsop from 2003 up until 2006 he won own awards in both 2004/05 and 2005/06. conan then moved to quarrydale fc for the season 2006/07 with quarrydale he helped them become the league champions, he also took part in a spring tournement at butlins skegness winning in there age group and to keep up the good form they also came runners up in the chad knockout cup. conan was sportsman of the year for the season 2006/07. conan played for john davies primary school in 2007. he then went on to join fc huthwaite u12s and now he plays his football for ashfield rangers u14s. conan is very well liked by everyone and he has a permenent smile on his face. conan plays as a striker.
Lawson (laws) is the managers son and has a lot more to prove than the rest of his team mates. lawson started playing football in the kick start league for huthwaite colts during that first season he was moved straight up to play 11 a side in the rowsley and district youth league.lawson is a left footer who plays on the left wing. in his first season for huthwaite colts lawson won players player of the year award. for the season 2007/08 lawson moved to fc huthwaite u12s and kept his posision on the left and he plays his football for ashfield rangers u14s lawson dont score that many goals but he is a hard worker and helps create a lot. he is very well liked by all his team mates.
Alex (gerry)as some of his mates call him for some unknown reason. started training with ashfield rangers towards the end of last season and although he has never played for a team before he has shown lots of potential. he is very fit and very fast we will work on his positioning otherwise he will run for miles on a match day. alex will be playing as a centre half.
Rhys is ashfield rangers latest addition to the team he joins us from ollerton town who have recently dispanded their team. Rhys started playing football at the age of 8 for clipstone welfare fc in the u9s and continued to play for them until the u12s when clipstone folded. he then joined ollerton town for the u13s and has now come to Ashfield rangers. Rhys will be playing as a midfielder either central or on the right.
Daniel (danny) has only just started playing football and ashfield rangers is the first club he has played for. towards the end of last season danny was thinking of giving football up until we went on a tournement and he decided to stay. since then danny has started to give 100% effort and he is certaim to improve this season.
Ash started playing football at an early age for market warsop in the kick start league playing 7 a side. from there he moved to huthwaite colts for two years and then moved with the rest of his team mates from huthaite colts to fc huthwaite. he then once again stayed with his team mates when we formed ashfield rangers.
ash plays his football as a right winger and he is well liked by everyone
